TREASURE CHEST does not consist of plug-ins but a collection of mostly presets and 25 Quicktime files animated light bursts creating a broad array of power packed transitions. The Treasure Chest.aep project contains 121 comps demonstrating these effects. Plus it includes and online and offline gallery of animations. All numbered correspondingly tot he presets and Quicktime files.
Our presets create transitions that are not available in the AE Transitions category under Effects in the menu or in the Animation Presets folder that comes with After Effects. In other words we crafted transitions using dozens of the other available AE effect plug-ins that come with the application. Our presets were not created using expressions
It's as simple as dropping a preset on to your footage. Then you move the keyframes to the out point and in points. (This is all explained in this collection's tutorial.)
Some of the categories of transitions are the following: Grids, Page Curl, Optics, Displacement Map, Mirror, Magnification, Twirl, Warp, Ball Action Scatterize, Shatter, Levels, Color Offset, Colorama, Saturation, PS Arbituary Map, Glow, Mozaic, Threshold, Motion Tile and many others.
